Well, first of all we write eBooks for people who read. That is, not everybody likes to read, or likes to read eBooks. The percentage of eBook readers differs widely per country (and we reach an international audience with our website), but varies somewhere between 20% and 40 % of adults.
Secondly, we aim at people who want to know more about the topic they looked for through Internet Search Engines (or otherwise) and who finally reached our website. In fact, our website is built around writing a comprehensive set of articles that cover specific topics within the massage and bodywork domain. Those articles we later compile into eBooks to offer a convenient, relevant, and orderly way of presenting a certain theme (subject or topic).
Thirdly, eBooks are very easy to update, and our buyers always have access to our free updated and revised eBooks after they’ve bought a book, making it for them and for us a very efficient way to stay tuned to the latest developments or insights around a topic.
By the way, anyone who buys our eBooks is freely allowed to print those books to read them on paper if they feel more comfortable doing so. It makes that buying an eBook doesn’t necessarily means you need to read it in a digital format, which I find another convenience of eBooks.
Anyway, today eBooks can be read on multiple devices, including desktop computers, laptops, notebooks, mobile phones i.e. smartphones, and tablets. We accommodate for it by publishing our eBooks in multiple eBook file formats, notably EPUB, PDF and MOBI, and our buyers can choose the most appropriate or pleasant format to read on their device.
The market for eBooks, or better said, of people who read eBooks is still growing and is expected to increase about 10% between 2024 and 2027, which will amount to about 1 billion people who regularly read eBooks.
Personally, I think eBooks is a great way of having access to info or entertainment anytime and anywhere. I, for instance, haven’t read a printed book since 2014. It’s when I bought an eReader, which was very convenient because I travelled a lot at that period of my life and I was addicted to books.
I can remember that I always had about 5 kilos of books with me in my backpack and I always needed to make a choice of what to take with me and what not. After I bought my 250 grams eReader things became quite different and I could take hundreds of books with me on my travels.
Today, I don’t use an eReader any longer (after ten years of use it broke down), but just my Smartphone, which — like any other Smartphone — has excellent options and apps to read digital books in a pleasant way, including instant access to up-to-date translations or explanations of words you don’t know.
Moreover, you can choose options of lighting for day and night, the type and size of the font you like most, and well, much more options, just as good as with a professional eReader device. Anyway, a printed book is great (I still find them cute and nostalgic), but eBooks beat it by far when it comes to convenience and adaptability to your personal needs.
