Dinacharya is an ancient self-care practice in Ayurvedic Medicine that consists of a detailed daily routine for people to help them establish balance in their constitution and accordingly support them to maintaining good health.
One of the important things to remember is that most activities in the Dinacharya routines are influenced and determined by what kind of Dosha-type you are, or by which of the three Doshas need to be stimulated or appeased according to your current situation, or according to the time of the day.

Additionally, the seasons of the year, the climate you live in, your gender and your age, just to name some examples, all have Dosha characteristics, and will guide what types of oils, herbs, foods and drinks you will use, and what type of exercises or activities you should preferably do (or not do).
In fact, the factors that influence the Doshas are numerous, and so are the things you should do or not do accordingly. That sounds perhaps complicated, but it’s rather easy to find information on the Internet about your predominant Dosha-type, about what Doshas may be affected in you, and about the Doshas that are strong or weak in a certain season or climate, and so on.
Mind also that you don’t need to do all the activities mentioned in the daily Dinacharya routines. Some of those are or-or rather than and-and, and others need only to be carried out occasionally. Actually, it’s better to do less, but routinely, than overburden yourself, which would defeat the whole purpose of Dinacharya.
