In this post, you’ll find an overview of Medical Cannabis Clinics in Bangkok, Thailand. A quick note: there’s a difference between a clinic and a dispensary, about which you can read more in our post Cannabis Clinics and Cannabis Dispensaries | What Is the Difference?
Mind also that many officially recognized Cannabis Clinics in Thailand are connected to general or traditional medicine hospitals, and not to independent commercial or private businesses. Moreover, the majority of those hospitals are managed directly by the Thai Ministry of Public Health, while the rest are private hospitals.
Then there’s a range of Cannabis Clinics that are extensions of already existing Traditional Thai Medicine Clinics. Some of these Thai Medicine Clinics are also connected to a hospital.
In any case, a Cannabis Clinic — also called Marijuana Clinics — is typically operated by non-medical staff, physicians (doctors), and/or (Thai) traditional medicine healers who are specialized in designing and/or prescribing Cannabinoid Cannabis treatments for certain ailments. By the way, some Cannabis Clinics also function as a Cannabis Dispensary.
Cannabis treatments are aimed at relieving or curing (symptoms of) a range of health conditions, such as multiple sclerosis (MS), muscle spasms, sleep disorders, chronic pains, nausea, inflammations, gastrointestinal problems, PTSD, anxiety, stress, epileptic seizures, among other issues.
The main characteristics of Cannabis treatments is that they include CBD (Cannabidiol) and/or THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) compounds, but they may also involve other beneficial Cannabinoids found in Cannabis.
