Dream Yoga or Milam is a Tibetan type of Yoga that works with the dream state. The practitioner learns to remain aware during the phases of dreaming (also called lucid dreaming) and seize control over the dream content.
The end goal of Dream Yoga is the realization that life as a whole is a dream, which can help liberate us from our fears, traumas, concepts, attachments, and ego, while giving the possibility of becoming spiritually enlightened.
Dream Yoga (or Milam) has obvious similarities with Yoga Nidra, the latter aimed at inducing a relaxing, meditative state of consciousness between waking and deep sleep.
