Nuru Massage Techniques – Sliding, Gliding, and Stroking

In our post Nuru Body Slide Couples – Techniques and Precautions we’ve given you a list of Nuru Massage videos and some tips of how to perform a safe Nuru Massage session, both of which can be of help to learn giving a pleasant Nuru session.

If you haven’t read that post already, we advise you to first do so before continuing here.

So, as for body slides and glides there are basically a few options:

  • The giver moves with the front side of their body across the front side of the receiver’s body;
  • The giver moves with the front side of their body across the backside of the receiver’s body;
  • The giver moves with the backside of their body across the front side of the receiver’s body;
  • The giver moves with the backside of their body across the backside of the receiver’s body;
  • The giver moves with the buttocks (giver is in sitting position) across the front side of the receiver’s body;
  • The giver moves with the buttocks (giver is in sitting position) across the backside of the receiver’s body.

In addition, the giver can create variations of the above by taking one leg of the receiver between their two legs while sliding or gliding along the genitals of the receiver.

Mind that it takes quite some strength in the arms of the giver (you need to lift your body) while doing the slides and glides because you don’t want to press with your full body on the receiver which could be rather uncomfortable for them.

Apart from slides and glides the giver can work with the hands and forearms to give long strokes on the receiver’s body parts, such as on the calf muscles and feet, the buttocks, the back, the inner thighs, and the arms etc. You can see several of these techniques demonstrated in the videos we’ve mentioned.

And a final note here: if you have no practice with Nuru Massage please don’t go too much into “acrobatics.” This can only make you hurt yourself or your partner. In addition, be prepared that if you don’t have much physical exercise in your daily life and/or strong arm muscles you will most likely experience quite some muscle soreness the day after having given a Nuru Massage.
