There are actually three important moments in time, that is, subsequent effects (or responses) after having received a Thai Massage treatment session: the moment after, the morning after, and the many after.
First we have the immediate effect after a Thai Massage session: the moment after. Then we have the three to five days following the session, which I call the morning after, and finally the long term results when receiving Thai Massage regularly — the many after.
The immediate response, the moment after, is often somewhat like being fully energized, feeling light, refreshed or feeling relaxed, released, relieved, but sometimes also very tired, just wanting to take a nap. And often, after a first time Thai Massage session also amazement, bewilderment. But although these are all significant impressions, none predict too much about the days to come.
Usually, the morning after, the receiver has had a very good night’s sleep. I’ve seldom seen otherwise, but the opposite can be the case also. In the following days different things may happen: some people start to feel very tired or feel muscle soreness, like having done sports, a workout, and so on.
Other people may get diarrhea, a fever, or feel very weak, say… detoxification issues, or are very tired, have headaches, or get very emotional.
Then, some feel mentally more clear and the body feels in good shape. And some who suffered from physical health problems may experience significant relief. And sometimes it takes more than a week to get some kind of physical and mental balance anew.
The many after is quite a different subject, being the result of regularly receiving Thai Massage. It’s a type of illness prevention and body maintenance, which also opens up the possibility to get more structurally relieved of physical, mental and emotional blockages and tensions.
Thai Massage is physical and energetic bodywork that can support the body’s self-healing and regeneration processes to start functioning in a more natural, more optimal way. In general, receiving Thai Massage regularly could make one effectively experience an improved balance, more vitality, and better resilience in everyday life.
You see, the morning after is simply the morning after and shouldn’t be judged too strictly or taken to seriously. Nevertheless, it can be the beginning of a whole new start — a new life. It was to me.
