SKY Yoga | Simplified Kundalini Yoga by Vethathiri Maharishi

Simplified Kundalini Yoga, also known as SKY Yoga, is a Yoga system founded by Shri Vethathiri Maharishi (1911–2006). It’s a holistic system combining Maharishi’s knowledge in Ancient Indian Yogic Practices, Ayurveda, Siddha Medicine and Homeopathy. The system also applies a scientific approach.

The main practices of SKY Yoga

Simplified Physical Exercises for Health

The exercised proposed are simple and aim at health and longevity. They include Pranayama (breathing exercises), Asanas (Yoga poses), acupressure and Foot Reflexology, eye exercises, among others.

Meditation Practices for Inner Peace

Focuses on using Kundalini Energy as the object of meditation. There are a range of techniques and steps aimed at reaching higher levels of awareness and deep relaxation. Finally, the goal is to come to Self-Realization and God-Realization i.e. Spirtual Enlightenment.

Kaya Kalpa Yoga for Anti-Aging

Kaya Kalpa is an ancient system practiced in Ayurveda, said to reverse the natural aging process. It includes a range of therapies like herbal or mineral preparations, breathing practices, massage, and lifestyle guidelines, to name a few.

It’s a set of practices of self-analysis which have as their goal to make students aware of their positive and negative characteristics and so be able to eliminate the negative ones and strengthen the positive ones. The five main techniques are: Analysis of Thoughts; Streamlining of Desires; Neutralization of Anger; Eradication of Worries; and Realization of Self.
