Sip Sen Lines in Correlation with Therapeutic Indications

In Thai Massage therapy the Sip Sen Energy Channels (the ten Thai Energy Lines) play an important role. Each type of Sen Line has several functions, serving very specific tasks and purposes in body and mind. A particular Sen Line that is obstructed or injured may give rise to specific health issues.

In this post we take a look at what individual Sib Sen Lines need to be treated to resolve or alleviate certain discomforts or illnesses, that is, we take a look at their therapeutic indications.

Sen Sumana

Sen Sumana is indicated for asthma, bronchitis, general respiratory problems, chest pains, heart issues, speech problems, cough, taste problems, spasm of the diaphragm, nausea, cold, back pain, digestive issues, abdominal pain, nervous (nerve) system issues.

Sen Ittha & Sen Pingkhala

Sen Ittha and Sen Pingkhala are indicated for headaches, stiff neck, shoulder pains, common cold, cough, dizziness, nasal obstruction, nose problems, restless legs, sore throat, sore eyes, chill and fever, insomnia, abdominal pains, intestinal problems, back pains, knee pains, diseases of the urinary tract, kidneys, all internal organs.

Special indication for Sen Pingkhala: liver and gallbladder problems.

Sen Kalathari

Sen Kalathari needs to be treated for diseases of the digestive system, abdominal pains, muscle pains (including bones, tendons, ligaments, fasciae), indigestion, hernia, paralysis of arms and legs, knee pains, jaundice, whooping cough, arthritis of fingers, chest pains, shock, trauma, rheumatic heart disease, cardiac arrhythmia, angina pectoris, sinusitis, arm and leg pain, epilepsy, depressions, hormonal control, schizophrenia, hysteria, various psychic diseases and mental disorders, back pains, stiffness, and spinal pains.

Sen Sahatsarangsi & Sen Thawari

Sen Sahatsarangsi and Sen Thawari concern eye problems, facial paralysis, toothache, throat ache, redness and swelling of the eyes, fever, chest pain, manic depressive psychosis, gastrointestinal problems, urogenital problems, leg paralysis, arthritis of knee joints, numbness of the legs, hernia, knee pain.

Special indication for Sen Thawari: jaundice and appendicitis.

Sen Lawusang & Sen Ulangka

Sen Lawusang and Sen Ulangka are indicated for ear problems, deafness, middle ear infection, cough, facial paralysis, toothache, throat issues, chest pain, gastrointestinal diseases, and body equilibrium.

Sen Nanthakrawat & Sen Kitchanna

And finally, Sen Nanthakrawat and Sen Kitchanna, which concern hernia, hemorrhoids, frequent urination, infertility, impotence, premature ejaculation, irregular menstruation, uterine bleeding, retention of urine, prostate problems, diarrhea, libido issues, and abdominal pains.
