In this post, we’ll take a look at what Greece has to offer when it comes to training courses for Thai Massage, the latter also known as Thai Yoga Massage.

Greece is officially called the Hellenic Republic and has a population of about 11 million people. It’s a European Union member since 1981. The largest city and capital is Athens with about 700,000 souls in the city proper and almost 4 million in the metropolitan area.

Greece is also considered the birthplace of modern Europe, Western philosophy, and the idea of Democracy. It has an incredibly rich history which spans almost 3,000 years of written recordings. Today Greece and the Greek islands are popular tourist destinations.

When we look at the availability of Thai Massage training in the country, you will see that most of the schools and trainers are to be found in Athens. Nevertheless, you’ll also find that Thai Massage retreats and events are regularly offered on the Greek islands, throughout the year.

The type of Thai Massage training you’ll receive depends on the background, style, and specific lineage of the Thai Massage instructor. For instance, training may be more focused on Southern Style Thai Massage or by contrast rather Northern Style, it may incorporate lots of assisted Yoga stretches, or alternatively it may be rather based on acupressure, acupressure points, and working with the Sip Sen Energy Lines, and so on.

In any case, below then you’ll find our overview of the Thai Yoga Massage training options we’ve spotted in Greece.
