In Thailand, traditional therapeutic Genital Massage treatment sessions cannot be seen separately from Abdominal Massage.
As it is, the genital organs, such as the uterus (womb), ovaries, cervix, prostate, urinary bladder, and vaginal canal are located inside the abdominal and pelvic area. Sure, the penis and testicles are an exception, but even those have connections inside the body, such as for instance with the urinary tract system and prostate.
It means that an Abdominal Massage (in Thailand, also labeled as abdominal detoxification massage) will naturally — more or less, depending on the goal of the treatment — address the genital areas also. Note that, what is called an Abdominal Massage, is in truth an abdominal internal organs massage, a visceral massage, including work in, on or around the thoracic cavity.
Genital Massage can and should be seen as a specialization of Abdominal Massage. The difference with an all-purpose abdominal treatment is that the center of attention of the Genital Massage is more specifically on issues with the genital area and reproductive organs. Note here that a high-quality Genital Massage treatment is most likely first preceded by an Abdominal Massage to prepare the receiver/client for deeper, more focused work.
Another essential observation is that, despite of Chi Nei Tsang Abdominal Massage having become almost synonymous with Thai Abdominal Healing work, we need to realize that therapeutic abdominal bodywork has a long history in Thailand, and Chi Nei Tsang only recently emerged as a Thai-Chinese Abdominal Hybrid healing modality.
The same counts for Karsai Nei Tsang Genital Detox Massage which today is seen more or less identical to Thai Genital Massage. However, traditional Thai genital work has its own history existing long before Karsai already, being composed of a variety of specific modalities and specializations.
